‘This is a mandatory meeting’: Boss Tells Employee Not To Take Her Cat To The Vet For An Emergency Because Of A Work Pajama Party

Taking our cats to the vet is always a hard thing to do. Our cats are stressed, we are stressed, which only makes our cats more stressed. Our cats hide at the vet’s office. Our cats get the cone of shame for being little hooligans at the vet’s office, which only pisses them off and makes them even bigger hooligans. It’s a mess. It’s hard for everyone, and we just wish for it to pass quickly and for our cats to be healthy.

Going to the vet with your cat is always emotionally difficult as it is, so really, we don’t need any other stress factors on top of that. Which is what makes this interaction between a cat owner and their boss so much more infuriating. How can someone be so self-important to think that a pajama party at work is more important than taking your cat to the vet during an emergency?
